Post examples of figurative language

Hello everyone,
I hope you find this blog as another way to get your homework done. I would like you to post a response - your post will count as your homework.

Please post three examples of various poetic devices you read in the vignettes from The House on Mango Street. Remember - use one that is not previously posted. If you can't find one...but you really need to try...you can make up your own, but remember to label what it is.

For example, your response should be something like this:

Metaphor: Until then I am a red balloon, a red balloon tied to an anchor.

Have fun.
